Agreement for the Nowy Targ Energy Cluster

Energy transformation is no longer a matter of declarations. Increasingly, it requires system-level decisions — organizational, technological, and financial in nature. Across many European cities, this process is now taking the form of structured implementation activities.

Nowy Targ is entering this stage.

The agreement signed between the Future Solutions Research & Development Center and the Coordinator of the Nowy Targ Energy Cluster initiates the process of building a local energy model, designed with a long-term perspective, decision-making coherence, and clearly defined responsibility of all participants.

The objective of the ongoing work is to design a dynamic local energy market, equipped with modern IT solutions, including settlement systems based on DLT technology, enabling transparent, auditable, and automated settlement of energy flows between cluster participants.

The Nowy Targ Energy Cluster Strategy is being developed as a practical framework for action — based on real data, the needs of municipal entities, and solutions that can be implemented under local conditions. The goal is not a descriptive document, but a coherent system architecture that allows the cluster to operate as a real, locally managed energy system.

By doing so, Nowy Targ joins the group of municipalities that treat energy transformation as a responsible, long-term process rather than a one-off initiative.
