Molanote LAB-6 — Smart Energy Laboratory
The Future Solutions Research and Development Center (CBRFS), operator of the Molanote LAB-6 within the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, is a team of engineers and experts combining design experience with state-of-the-art measurement equipment. We provide comprehensive support in the fields of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electrical Safety (LVD), as well as in preparing complete documentation for CE marking.
We work from the concept and prototype stage, through testing and design modifications, up to certification and product launch.

Scope of services

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing
- Conducted and radiated emissions (typically 9 kHz–30 MHz / 30 MHz–1 GHz)
- Immunity to conducted (RF) and radiated disturbances (in line with PN-EN 61000-4 standards)
- ESD, EFT/BURST, SURGE, as well as dips, short interruptions, and voltage fluctuations (PN-EN 61000-4-2/-4/-5/-6/-11)

Electrical Safety (LVD) testing
- Verification of insulation, electric shock protection, and thermal safety of devices
- Risk assessment and documentation audit in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD

Environmental and operational tests
- Resistance to temperature, humidity, and selected climatic conditions
- Functional tests of industrial devices, converters, and PV installations

Installation and infrastructure testing
- Power quality (PN-EN 50160: harmonics, flicker, voltage dips)
- Thermography (overheating and leakage diagnostics)
- Noise, lighting intensity, electrical installation inspections (insulation resistance, RCD, grounding)

Documentation and consulting
- Test reports and full CE documentation (PL/EN)
- Engineering consultations: design review for EMC/LVD compliance, recommendations for design changes, preparation for testing
Facilities and methodology
The laboratory is equipped with test stations and apparatus compliant with current EMC and LVD standards, including:
- ESD simulator (up to 16.5 kV) – PN-EN 61000-4-2
- EFT/BURST and SURGE generators – PN-EN 61000-4-4 / -4-5
- Systems for voltage dips and interruptions – PN-EN 61000-4-11
- Class A power quality analyzers (IEC 61000-4-30)
- Thermal imaging cameras and electrical diagnostics equipment
