Energy Cluster Kolno – A new chapter begins
On November 27, 2025, a letter of intent was signed in Kolno, initiating a collaborative process focused on examining the feasibility of creating a local energy cluster. This document represents the first step — a formal expression of intent to work together, conduct analyses and explore solutions adapted to the local context and community needs. The signing of the letter opens space for structured dialogue around the development of distributed energy systems based on renewable sources, local balancing mechanisms and modern energy management models. It reflects a growing awareness among local authorities that the future of energy lies in decentralization, flexibility and community-driven solutions.
At this stage, the shape of the Energy Cluster Kolno is not predefined. The process will begin with understanding the region’s energy potential, identifying development pathways and evaluating possible technological and organizational scenarios. The intention is to build foundations for a transparent, resilient and locally integrated energy ecosystem.
Kolno’s engagement is another example of how municipalities are increasingly taking responsibility for their energy future — starting with knowledge, dialogue and informed decision-making.
