Żarnowiec Energy Cluster – concept development stage

On March 18, 2026, an agreement was signed between the Municipality of Żarnowiec and the Future Solutions Research and Development Center for the development of the Żarnowiec Energy Cluster concept. The document represents the next key phase of cooperation, moving from a declarative stage to a structured concept development process.

At this stage, activities are focused on defining the principles of cluster operation and preparing the framework for building a local energy system tailored to the region’s needs and potential.

The scope of work includes:

– analysis of the municipality’s energy potential,
– identification of possible energy generation sources, including renewable energy and hydrogen technologies,
– development of energy balancing and storage concepts,
– preparation of management and operational framework for the cluster,
– identification of possible development and financing pathways.

The objective of these activities is to develop a coherent energy cluster concept, forming the basis for further investment and organizational decisions.

The Żarnowiec project is entering a stage where the local energy model is being defined in a structured way — from analysis and system design to preparation for future operation.
