From October 28 to 30, 2024, Kraków hosted over 2,000 participants at the 2nd Distributed Energy Congress, organized by the AGH University of Science and Technology. ECM and Future Solutions Research and Development Center had the honor of attending this important event, actively participating in discussions on the future of Poland’s energy sector.
The congress addressed key issues related to energy transformation, including the need to establish sustainable cooperation between administration, local governments, and the private sector. Participants emphasized that effective transformation must take into account local needs while striving to balance climate goals, energy security, and economic competitiveness.
The congress also served as a platform for younger generations to actively engage in the debate. Over 400 young people, including Energy Transition Ambassadors, participated in panels and workshops, highlighting their crucial role in the future of sustainable energy.
During the event, Małopolska showcased how collaboration between the region, universities, and companies can contribute to the development of innovative, eco-friendly solutions that improve quality of life and reduce CO2 emissions.
We eagerly await the next edition of the congress, which will allow us to continue important discussions and develop visions for the future of Polish energy.
